Exeter City Community Trust.
The partner charity of Exeter City Football Club. The charity has seen rapid growth in recent years and delivers a range of health, education and wellbeing activities across Devon.
We began working with the charity in 2017 and support them across a variety of services, including strategy development, content creation and PR. We regularly obtain regional broadcast, radio, digital and print coverage for the charity.
Football in the spotlight.
The charity developed a unique programme supporting prisoners at HMP Exeter, with sessions delivered inside the prison and an ongoing mentorship programme once they had left prison, designed to reduce re-offending.
We worked with the Ministry of Justice to gain access to the prison, where we filmed with the BBC for their national Saturday football show, Football Focus. We also worked with The Guardian to develop the story for print. Other outcomes were a number of positive regional stories.
We also regularly help with design elements needed to promote running events and school holiday courses.
“As the charity has grown over recent years, it has been great to have McQueenie Mulholland working alongside us. I appreciate how responsive they are to our requests and their thoughtful approach to our communications. As an ex-journalist, Sue always has a good perspective on what will make the news, and we’ve seen a huge amount of coverage of our activity in local, regional and even national media.”
